Subsequent Programming

Subsequent device programming is scheduled at regular intervals to monitor progress and assess implant performance. Following the initial post-operative stage, mapping evaluations are scheduled a few times in the first month. Then dropping to once a month. After the second month a sound field test is done to verify sound improvement and is used as a tool to help develop a more precise map. Satisfactory progress enables the subsequent programming intervals to expand to every two months, every three months and finally to two or three mapping evaluations during the course of one year.
